Mangshi opens int’l direct air route to Yangon

Following the 7.9-magnitude earthquake in Myanmar on March 28, west Yunnan’s Mangshi city opened a new international direct air route to Yangon on April 1.

The Mandalay International Airport was temporarily closed amid the quake, and the Mangshi-Yangon direct air route is an adjustment from the original Mangshi-Mandalay-Yangon route. The adjusted route will last till May 8, 2025.

The Mangshi-Yangon flights will run five times weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Flight UB811 departs Yangon for Mangshi, while flight UB812 travels from Mangshi to Yangon.
