MTCO Organizes Critical Planning Session for GMS Tourism Strategy 2030 in Bangkok

On March 19, 2024, the Mekong Tourism Coordinating Office (MTCO) organized a crucial meeting in Bangkok, bringing together the GMS Tourism Working Group. This significant event saw the participation of senior government officials from the six GMS countries: Cambodia, China, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Viet Nam, alongside consultant Mr. Peter Semone and representatives from the Asian Development Bank. The meeting focused on the collaborative development of the GMS Tourism Strategy 2030, aiming to outline a roadmap for the future of tourism in the Greater Mekong Subregion. This strategy seeks to foster sustainable, inclusive and resilient tourism across the GMS nations.
