We are facing an unprecedented global health crisis, the repercussions of which are being felt in all sectors of society and the economy. Health institutions and governments worldwide are doing their utmost to combat COVID-19. While we must remain cautious regarding predictions as to how the pandemic will affect the social fabric of our societies, it lies beyond doubt that with solidarity, courage and trust, we will reemerge stronger than before.
UNWTO has made a strong statement: “Stay home today. Travel tomorrow.” The containment of the pandemic is our main priority and tourism is committed to support all measures taken to curb the outbreak.
