Viet Nam, Da Nang opens An Thuong pedestrian street and night market

(TITC) – Responding to the Da Nang tourism and festival season in 2023, on 15th July, the People’s Committee of Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City held the opening of a pedestrian street and the An Thuong night market, in My An ward, Ngu Hanh Son district.

An Thuong Pedestrian Street is on An Thuong tourist street with roads paved with natural basalt stone both on the sidewalk and on the road surface, creating a large and airy space on 6 routes for visitors to leisurely walk, go sightseeing and shopping.

An Thuong night market is held on the sidewalk of Tran Bach Dang street (section from La Xuan Oai street to Hoang Ke Viem street) and open from 18:00 to 23:00 daily, with nearly 40 stalls selling food and drink to serve tourists and the locals.

Visitors can also find OCOP products with 20 booths displaying and introducing typical products of Da Nang, rural products, tourist souvenirs and gifts, a number of typical products of Ngu Hanh Son District and neighbouring localities.

The night market will help to promote local tourism image and connect local products directly to consumers and tourists.

On this occasion, Ngu Hanh Son District also implemented the programme “Cashless payment” with check-in points and activities to serve the locals and visitors to use the service.

On 16 and 17 July, there were street dances and music performances by Danang College of Culture and Arts and the Center for Culture, Information and Sports in Ngu Hanh Son District.
