MTCO co-organized the Experience Mekong Stories webinar on July 14, 2021

On July 14, the Mekong Tourism Coordinating Office co-organized the Experience Mekong Stories, a series of webinars under the Mekong Stories initiative, in partnership with ASSET-H&C and Destination Mekong showcase inspiring stories from Experience Mekong Collections Members coping with challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the session, there were several fruitful stories from our panellists during the Experience Mekong Stories webinar, including HCTC – Passport: School, Restaurant & Hotel, Sala Baï Hotel & Restaurant School, and ASSET H&C. Key discussions were around how Experience Mekong Collection members adapt to the challenge with the COVID-19 and prepare for the recovery.

Some key insights and inspiring stories were raised among audiences, such as how to adjust the operation during the pandemic time, how digital transformation occurs in both schools’ training programs, and how partnership and collaboration play such an important role in leveraging business capacity.

Interestingly, both schools and ASSET-H&C shared their practical actions and experiences in implementation to maintain the operation and interaction with students during the pandemic. Finally, all panellists shared their key learnings and takeaways from the crisis, including flexibility, multidisciplinary, adaptability, and collaboration.

Thank you again to all the panellists joining the webinar and making it very successful with some great exchange of ideas and discussion.

For anyone who is missing the webinar, you can watch the recording again at https://youtu.be/9NQK2-PcDhY.
