Travel Experience
A lovely small spot by the lake where you can read and enjoy local coffee from plantations located in Shan highlands, juices, vegetarian food. It's also a cosy and unique space for meetings, workshops, concerts, film screenings and much more.
Responsibility
The aim of the cafe is to promote the value of sustainability through working with local products, ecological materials and other methods introducing the concept of responsible consumption. Also, Veranda Youth Community Café is the first social business project of Tounge La' Yat Education Gathering Group (EGG). Which is a nonprofit community-based education program that provides a high-quality educational learning centre where students can develop the intellectual and leadership capacities needed to have a positive impact on the community. Also, to improve interethnic and interreligious cooperation in the community as well as support local community members to gain more access to further educational and professional development opportunities. To build the capacity of local community members to participate effectively in the development of the local community. Create a healthy, supportive environment where all community members can work together to build a better future.
Business Case
The veranda cafe is independent networking and co-working space for young people and civil society initiatives. Above all this, it is a pilot project of social business generating resources for future community activities.
