Travel Experience
Triem Tay is a Vietnamese 17th century old agricultural village where for generations people have been living simple lives, balanced with nature they have been weaving bamboo mats and worked in the paddy fields. Triem Tay village today counts 127 households living on a 45 hectare area largely resting on the bank of the Thu Bon River. The area is 15 minutes walking distance away from the UNESCO protected historical town Hoi An.
Responsibility
The project is to protect the site with a 'green' dyke, which reduced the river's encroachment as well as to create new jobs for the villagers who work for the ecolodge. Also, An Nhien farm has been created aiming to protect the historical site with sustainable landscape architecture. An Nhien farm aims to restore the natural ecological system involving the local community in a sustainable way to protect the riverbank and to provide the villagers with new skills and jobs.
Business Case
An Nhien farm offers programs for volunteers in which you will contribute to the farm and its community development. Visitors and guests can contribute to the community development project by donations. The community is in high need for more materials and finances.
