Travel Experience
SHWE SA BWE is a restaurant & training centre located in the vibrant city of Yangon, Myanmar. We offer a bistro-style food menu for lunch and European and Asian cuisine for dinner. Our team of experienced teachers accompanied by International Food and Management Consultants had trained over 150 young people since 2011. They are now employed as waiters, bartenders, front office supervisors, cooks, and pastry chefs in leading hotels & restaurants in Myanmar.
Responsibility
In 2011, a philanthropist decided to open a free culinary boarding school with an attached restaurant to train Myanmar youth from rural areas in culinary and service techniques. We offer two programs to our students, both last for 11 months: food production or F&B service. Our students are selected based on their modest background, their lives in a rural area and most important of all their kindness and their authentic Burmese hospitality.
Business Case
Shwe Sa Bwe is a restaurant training centre. Students come from a modest background and receive free of charge courses. We provide Service & Culinary training program, which is offered to 20 -25 local students every year, free of tuition. Every aspect of your dining experience is performed by our students, under the close supervision of experienced teachers. The youth are selected for their motivation, kindness, and willingness to stay and work in the country. Shwe Sa Bwe fully covers the food, accommodation, uniform, and training material costs of its students. Tips are the sole form of income for them.
