Guilin, Trip.com sign tourism cooperation deal

Cultural and tourism authorities from Guilin City in south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region have inked a strategic cooperation agreement with Shanghai-based online travel operator Trip.com in Changning District to fuel the recovery of Guilin’s tourism industry.

The two sides will conduct close cooperation in the development of cultural products related to Guilin’s tourism and intangible cultural heritage under the agreement signed by the Guilin’s Culture, Broadcasting, Television and Tourism Bureau and Trip.com.

Trip.com will host regular industry summits to lure investment to the culture and tourism market of Guilin, develop local cultural and tourism festival brands, and fuel the talent cultivation of Guilin’s culture and tourism industry.

The two sides will also build platforms like a tourism traffic big data and tourism service center.
