The recent Mekong Trends Aviation Snapshot, available for free download at Mekong Trends, released during the last Mekong Tourism Forum in June 2017 in Luang Prabang, Laos, is a first attempt by the MTCO in cooperation with national tourism organisations to highlight the tremendous changes which occurred in air transport over the last years and to look at emerging opportunities within the GMS.
On October 10th, 2017 from 4pm-6pm, Amadeus and the Mekong Tourism Coordinating Office will organize a seminar highlighting the key insights of the recently published Mekong Trends Snapshot on Air Transport in the Greater Mekong Sub-region. Both the report and the seminar highlight the importance of aviation in the development of tourism in the region.
Amadeus and MTCO Seminar will open the debate with the travel industry about the further evolution of aviation in the region, the existing challenges as well as GMS opportunities for airlines. Key insights of the report as well as a panel will discuss the state of aviation and connectivity in the Mekong Region. The seminar will also look at ways cooperation exists between National Tourism Organisations and airlines, and tourism industry in general.
The Seminar will take place on Tuesday October 10th at 4pm to 6pm and will be hosted by Amadeus at the Amadeus Executive Briefing Centre, 23rd Floor, Capital Tower, All Seasons Place, Wireless Road, Bangkok, Thailand.
