Kunming Plateau Half Marathon, China

Marathons are hugely popular in China, and Kunming is no exception. The Kunming Plateau Half Marathon is usually held when the highland city is at its sunniest and driest. The route passes a string of landmarks, including Dian Lake (Dian Chi), West Hill (Xi Shan), the Yunnan Provincial Museum (Yunnansheng Bowuguan) and the Grand Theatre (Dajuyuan). Along with the half, there’s also a 10km, 4km and mini-events for amateur runners. Don’t forget to pack your trainers!
