Standing as a new pride for the Cambodia nation, the krama was inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO on December 4, 2024, in Asunción, Republic of Paraguay, by the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO.

Cambodia has six intangible cultural heritages listed on the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The krama is the seventh intangible cultural heritage of Cambodia included on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List.

Prime Minister Hun Manet said he appreciates the attention, efforts, support and close cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, national and international experts, the Krama weaving community, Krama Association and local authorities in various capitals and provinces, which has led to the success of registering the krama on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
