Cambodia, Vietnam agree to promote safe vaccination tourism in all spheres

Thong Rathsak, Director General of Tourism Development and International Cooperation of the Ministry of Tourism, who chaired the 2nd Joint Working Group Meeting on Cambodia-Vietnam Bilateral Tourism Cooperation in Kep Province said that air, sea and land tourism will resume soon.

With the direct and online participation (Hybrid) of relevant ministries and institutions with the Vietnamese side, led by Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The two sides shared information and experiences on the situation of Covid-19, the response of the tourism sector to the spread of Covid-19 and their respective international tourism plans. The two sides also reviewed plans for action to promote mutual tourism, as well as evaluated the results of past bilateral cooperation.

At the meeting, the two countries agreed to promote safe vaccination tourism, focusing on:

– Encourage the resumption of tourism between the two countries by all means of transportation (land, sea, air), including

– Re-launch VN Airlines and Cambodia Angkor Air flights

– Continue to promote self-driving tourism with emphasis on safe travel

Prepare to connect the two countries’ tourist ports by urging the private sector of the two countries to study the connection quickly and efficiently.

2. Promoting and studying joint markets under the theme “Two countries, one goal” at various international events

Consider promoting tourism to three countries: Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam at World Travel Market 2022 in London and Dubai Expo 2022 in Dubai under the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Cooperation (CLV).
