CHALLENGE OVERVIEW
In this challenge, we aim to develop innovative digital solutions that supports the implementation of new travel policies emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic such as screening procedures and health checks, physical distancing protocols, new travel requirements, standardized facility sanitation, and passengers’ hygiene regimens to reduce spread of infection and restore confidence in travel.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought travel and tourism industry to a complete standstill and has taken a toll on national economies and people’s livelihoods. Recovery of the travel and tourism sector will play an important role in the global economy’s ability to rebound quickly from COVID-19 related shock.
How can digital technologies support the application of recommended policies that aim at helping travelers regain confidence in travel across the entire journey —from booking flights, transit through airports during departure (check-in, security and immigration), aircraft travel and airports during arrival (immigration, luggage and customs), ground transport and staying at destination (hotels or home) —and at the same time promote health and safety to reduce spread of infection?
Win up to USD 10,000 for pilot testing of the selected solutions and a chance to implement your solution with ADB!
