Infrastructure

Main objectives: The overall objective of all the following projects is to transform economic corridors and / or specific regional roads into touristic scenic roads favouring an economic development boosted by tourism activities along these roads.

To develop an integrated tourism development plan combining management, capacity building, infrastructure and superstructure, socio economic and cultural needs. The specific objectives are to alleviate poverty, generate employment, provide infrastructure and catalyse the provision of facilities by the private sector.

G.1. The Mekong World Tourism River Corridor – An Endless Stream of Tourism Cooperation

G.2. North South corridor

G.3. East West corridor

G.4. Emerald Triangle

G.5. Southern Economic corridor

G.6. Green or development Triangle

G.7. Heritage Necklace same objective as above but with a focus on developing tourism around world heritage sites in order to better spread benefits

G.8. Laos-Vietnam Cross-Border Community-Based Tourism Zone same objective as above but with a special focus on CBT

G.9. Andaman Coast and Islands Tourism Development Plan

G.10. The Red River Valley Tourism Zone

G.11. Shangrila-Tengchong-Myitkyna Tourism Development Zone

G.12. Guangxi PRC – Northeast Vietnam Borderlands Tourism Zone

G.13. GMS Coastal and River Cruise Lines
